Alukos Copyright Policy

The short version

  • You own what you upload. You give Alukos permission to host it and build clips, stats, and analysis from it.
  • If you think something on Alukos breaks your copyright, send us a notice and we will review it and take it down if the notice is complete.
  • If your content was taken down by mistake, you can send a counter-notice.
  • We close the accounts of people who break copyright again and again.

1. Your content and the license you give us

1.1.You keep ownership of the demos, clips, logos, names, and other content you upload to Alukos.

1.2.You give Alukos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, show, and share your content, and to make clips, stats, replays, maps, and other analysis from it. We may transfer this license to a new owner of the Service, and we may let our service providers use it only to run the Service for us.

1.3.The license lasts as long as your content is on Alukos. When you or we delete your content, the license ends, except that:

(a) we may keep backup copies for a short time; (b) data extracted from your content (such as stats and positions) stays part of the competitive record and of other players' analysis; and (c) clips other players made from your public content may stay until they expire or are deleted, unless you ask us to remove them.

1.4.When you make content public, other signed-in Alukos players may watch it, study it, and clip it on Alukos. When you share it with a Roster, that Roster's current members may do the same. Players cannot download full demo files from Alukos.

1.5.Recordings of league, ladder, and tournament matches are made by Alukos on our own servers. Alukos may keep them and use them as described in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

1.6.You must upload only content you have the right to share. A demo you recorded of your own game is fine to upload.

2. Reporting copyright infringement

2.1.If you believe content on Alukos infringes your copyright, send a written notice by email to [email protected].

2.2.Your notice must include:

(a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) the copyrighted work you believe was infringed; (c) the content on Alukos you believe infringes it, with a link to each item; (d) your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address; (e) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are allowed to act for the owner.

2.3.If your notice is complete, we remove or disable the content and tell the person who posted it. We may share a copy of your notice with that person.

2.4.If you send a notice that you know is false, you may be liable for damages under the law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).

2.5.This process is for copyright only. For other problems, such as a name that copies your team's trademark, contact [email protected].

3. Counter-notice

3.1.If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you had the right to post it, you may send a counter-notice to the email address in section 2.1.

3.2.Your counter-notice must include:

(a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) the content that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed; (c) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the content was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified; (d) your name, address, and phone number; and (e) a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you live outside the United States, any court where Alukos can be found), and that you will accept legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.

3.3.We send your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If that person does not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court case to keep the content down, we may restore it.

4. Repeat infringers

4.1.We close the accounts of players who repeatedly infringe copyright. An account that receives three valid notices that are not successfully countered may be closed. We may close an account sooner for a serious case.

5. Games, mods, maps, and trademarks

5.1.Alukos is an independent community platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher. Game names and trademarks belong to their owners.

5.2.Game files, maps, icons, and sounds that appear on Alukos belong to their owners. We use them only to run, show, and analyze matches.

5.3.Mods and custom maps on our servers belong to their creators. If you created a mod or map and do not want it on Alukos, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

5.4.The Alukos name, the Alukos logo (including the dragon), and the design of alukos.com belong to Alukos. You must not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you without our written permission.

6. Changes

We may change this policy. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top.
